This is a personal one, call it what you will but I think its just got to be said. Why is it that over the past several years the fishing community in general seems to be gearing itself towards carp, the big fish? I see more and more youngsters beginning angling straight into carp fishing spending all their (or their parents) money on carp gear then going straight into well stocked fisheries to catch the biggest carp they can! My question, are they really getting the best of angling? ….

Well it was meant to be raining but how wrong could they be! We started at 06:00 and were ready for the wait. Specimen fishing at Clavering Lakes but we weren’t quite ready for the weather.
